Springfields is highly privileged to have Ms. Ila Desai as its Head of School. Mrs. Desai has an illustrious career graph in the field of education spanning over 4 decades. From the year 1970 when she joined the Ministry of Education as a teacher at Kamwala Secondary School till date she has held many positions of authority in various departments and institutes including the post of National Chief Examiner for junior secondary school examinations with the Ministry of Education.
She ran her own institute , Lusaka Learning Centre for 15 years where she successfully offered the Cambridge curriculum. She has been associated with a lot of honorary and charity work in Lusaka. She has been the Chairperson and trustee of Nkhwazi Primary School from 2001 to 2012. She has held various positions with Lusaka Indian Ladies Association, Lusaka Hindu Association and Charotar Patidar Samaj. The perfect icing on the cake has been The Zambian of the Year Award, 2016 that she received for her commendable work in the field of education.
